Even as corporate profits have rebounded, wages have remain largely stagnant . This means consumers don’t have as much spending power , which could lead to further economic weakness . 4 . The housing market is still struggling .
What this means for investors
The recent bull market has lulled many investors into a false sense of security. However, the financial turmoil is far from over. This means that investors need to be extra cautious when investing their money. There are still a number of risks that could trigger another financial crisis. These include the ongoing trade tensions between the US and China, rising interest rates, and Brexit. Investors need to be aware of these risks and take steps to protect their investments. For example, they can diversify their portfolios across different asset classes and geographies.
